A young son sees his 52 year old mother dies in front of him after she and
him waited in the Trishaw outside the hospital for 3 hours waiting for
admission.

He fills up procedural entry forms for admission and wait for their turn.
Unfortunately, the hospital still full filled to the edge. There is no bed
at all.

Hence, his blame on the hospital for the death of his mother is
understandable, but is hard to fault the hospital as it has not enough beds.

The key is might not be about shortage of bed here, but whether if the
hospital has enough of portable oxygen tank to bring to patients outside the
ward area, too.

Outside of ward area is not central wall-piped from the central supply tank
room. When beds are outside of the ward area, such as corridor, balcony and
corner.

The key here is their lack of skill of planning of key resources like
portable supply of oxygen tanks to meet the changing patient loads.

Bed needs not have to be in hospital management context. Bed can be set up
anywhere as a there is a sheltered place from rain.

What India needs is to resource large supply of oxygen cylinders so that
they can be filled up from oxygen supply manufacturing plant.

The portable oxygen tank can then be brought to various field tents and
other shelters.

Hence, doctors will not have to depend on wall-piped supply in hospital
beds.
