This 25-y.o. man is (imho) closer to a GS (Good Samaritan)
but apparently the news-outlets are NOT calling him that.

He saved 5 ppl (ages 1 -- 18).

Afterwards, he collapsed from smoke-inhalation....

GS (Good Samaritan) in headlines --- much more so than UK, OZ, Indian.... news sources.

The original Good Samaritan was notable only because he was good AND a
Samaritan. He was a surprising exception to the general reputation of
Samaritans, who were uniformly regarded as bad. A Good Samaritan was
virtually an oxymoron.

Does that remind you of the 'Good Samaritan' that killed a gunman who
was actively killing people?

In many countries, and in the opinion of many people, those who carry
guns are uniformly considered bad.
