Sure I'm tremendously biased as both a frustrated drummer AND a Rolling Stones* loyal follower ever since 1971, but I also try to dispense credit where it's due, especially in the face of temptations over the decades simply unimaginable to us mortal musicians**:

It should always be remembered that this durable band legendary for its groupie couplings had ONE guy who not only passed on pretty much all the women (rock-press-reportedly in the interest of keeping things cool with now-widow Shirley), but also was seldom as much a partier as his celebrated bandmates, though he did I'm told have his own substance issues here and there. My theory about his pretty-thorough fidelity is that it was because the late, great Watts seemed to have considered himself primarily a jazz drummer rather than a rocker...though of coure he WAS a master of both genres.
