There was a study that found that men who were riding on an

The given explanation was: the men sensed that their heart rate
was elevated and unconsciously attributed this to the woman shown,
thinking something like: "I'm excited, so she must be attractive.".

What would it do to the research world if research journals started
using asterisks like this?

I'm starting to suspect that Stefan is working on a long-running joke.

I've never heard "static bicycle", only "stationary b.".

I might be afraid to touch a "static bicycle" for fear of electric
shock.

This makes sense within the broader theory that emotions are an attempt
of the brain to make sense of bodily reactions.
