When I was little, one of the things I would do to pass the time was
thumb through my parents' collection of LPs and look at the album
covers. There were some great, classic ones. Herb Albert's Whipped
Cream and Other Delights was probably the most risque things in our
house, and one of the most exotic things my young eyes ever saw.
Another one of the unforgettable ones was "Julie Is Her Name." So
glamorous!

When my parents moved a few years ago, they sold, donated, and gave
away many of their material possessions. They asked me beforehand if
there was anything of theirs that I wanted. I had my answer to that
question locked and loaded for fifty years, and immediately said,
"your LPs." What a joy it was to look at all of those covers again.
Now Julie is in my house. As for Herb Alpert, that one, sadly, went
missing.

That could have been me, except for the inheriting the albums part. My
father simply gave them all away to a church bazaar without informing
me. Many of them were mine, either gifted to me or paid for with my
own money.

I understand that the model on Whipped Cream was seven months pregnant
at the time. I guess all that whipped cream blocked the healthy glow.

Other sources say she (Dolores Erickson) was three months pregnant...and
that it was shaving cream.
