Remember the other night when I said I saw a guy on Highway Patrol who looked like Robert Conrad only younger and thinner? I googled him up. It was him. I got his bio. Another guy whose mother had ties to the industry. No big deal, I expected it. Then I read a second bio that painted a slightly different, more dramatic picture to how Bob broke into the biz. I didn't read the whole thing, just what I pasted below. Pretty funny the way they wrote it - as if it was a pure chance thing like Lana Turner being discovered at Swabb's drugstore, except for method guys it's a graveyard in Indiana. A graveyard to which aspiring actors from the "torn apart" school pilgrimage every year to find themselves and others of their ilk on the ever-winding ever-twisting road to TearEmApartsVille USA. You want to make it in the biz? You got the chops? You got the method. Get to that graveyard pronto. For those with true torn-apart talent it can be a springboard to success.

No money for body parts or I’d have started donated years ago. Small stuff to start out. A finger, a toe, whatever. But of course it would become ultra competitive in no time flat. Donating body parts for cash is one of those things that sounds easier than it is - like eating shit for a million dollars. Eating the shit is the easy part. The hard part is finding someone to actually pay you to do it. Lots of people say they would not eat shit for any amount of money. We know they would if the offer came up. But the offer does not come up. It never comes up. I know, I’ve been waiting a long time. If it did come up people would be pushing and shoving to be first in line. Same with selling body parts. They are like tee shirts. At one time you could actually get paid for becoming a walking billboard. Today the tee shirt is free advertising. Same thing with body parts. Maybe at one time someone would buy them. Not now. In fact, the day will come when you have to pay to donate your body to science when they find out you're using the donation ploy just to avoid being buried.

The TV show "Fear Factor" dispelled any doubts anyone may have had about what people will or will not eat for money. People lined up to be on that show. I did not like the segments where the contestants were put in so-called dangerous positions while wearing safety harnesses. But the bug and worm eating segments were entertaining. Some were told they had to eat 10 big cockroaches. Ok, we know that's got to be disgusted. They know it too. But they go for it. Now, I could understand someone gagging out of it on roach number one - but some of the contestants would force down 7 or 8 of them only to gag out near the end. Incredible. I loved my old question: "Would you eat shit for a million dollars?" I always considered myself the author of that question. But now it has little or no value as the truth was revealed for all to see on the "Fear Factor" show as people lined up ready to chow down on any and all disgusting things for a lot less than a million. Did you ever watch Fear Factor? The gag reflect came into play every episode. Incredible. I cannot deny I really liked that part of the show. The whole show should have revolved around doing distasteful things for money. I could puke eating a cockroach.. But I think if I were going to puke it would happen early or not at all. It's hard to imagine putting in all that effort and quitting past the halfway point. I even enjoyed the host, Joe Rogan, an energetic type I have not seen in enough ways to pass honest judgement on him or his supposed talents. As the contestants chawed away on the writing insects Rogan would play the role of Oliver Hardy or Bud Abbot, barking commands and encouragement to the contestants - "Come on, you can do it - it's nothing - a piece of cake." Yeah, especially since he wasn't the one doing it. But I did find it funny. If all the trash were edited out of the show with only the good parts remaining - and if it were marketing under my name - written and produced by Thomas Joseph - are you telling me you wouldn't watch it even then? Yes there were women and typically they were the ones who backed off on eating more living insects or worms after they were over halfway to the victory line. Each successive chew brought on more gagging. They'd slow down. You could see them faltering. The show sucked other than the parts with living things being eaten. I don't think I ever set time aside to watch it, but if it was on I chose it over most things on at the same time. In some parts of the world eating live insects is common. A guy from that part of the world could go on the show and make a bundle. But he would have to hide it. If they found out he grew up eating insects they would have to bar him from the show. I don't blame you for despising the show. I can't blame you because I want to leave myself open at all time to equally despising things.

You surf into the show. You have never seen it before. You have never even heard of it. The screen is blank. Something wrong with the video, probably the station. But you like what you hear - a group of sexy female voices urging someone to "suck it down", "eat it", "chew it", "don't just taste it, smell it", as your hard on grows. Then the visual is restored and the picture comes on and it's a group of young women encouraging a guy to keep eating insects because he's almost there, he is almost ready to take down the championship.
