Should you vote for Tharman?

It's true. He was a member of the PAP and a Deputy Prime Minister. But he has not been endorsed by the Party or the Government for the Presidency. He decided to run for the Presidency himself. This is proven by the letter he writes to the PM.

Why is he running? Not because he is concerned about Singapore in a transitional and changing world, as he claimed. It's all about Indians. He was pushed hard by the Indians to be the next PM. Failing this, they push him to be the next President. Last time he refused. This time, he obliged. He will be an Indian President, in every sense of the word.

What's there in a Tharman Presidency for Singaporeans?
It would benefit Indians the most. More Indians would migrate to Singapore. His campaign slogan is "Respect". This is one thing which will be lacking further for the Chinese-majority from the Indian-minority if he were to become President.

He knows he cannot depend solely on Indian votes to win. He gets cosy up to the Chinese in the campaign. It will be very different once he is President.

The candidates concentrate their speeches mostly on local issues. This Presidential Election has wider implications beyond the shore of Singapore. The next President of Singapore will find himself in a world of more intense Great Power Conflicts between the US, Russia and China. Already, the US and Russia are engaged in a proxy war in Ukraine. Meanwhile US-China rivalry is intensifying and expanding in the Asia-Pacific region. India is being roped in as a counterweight against China. The US is drawing India into the region eventhough it does not have a Pacific coastline. It justifies this by arguing that the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean forms a continuous body of water. The Asia-Pacific has now been renamed Indo-Pacific India laps it all up with glee.

Beyond India, the Indian diaspora in this part of the world are expected to play their role for the Indo-American Indo-Pacific anti-China game. They are to counterbalance the weight that the Chinese diaspora may lend to China.. Singapore, being strategically located and with a significant Chinese-majority, is of concern to the US and India. Both would want the Indian-minority to play a more dominant role in Singapore politics. Politically conscious Indians in Singapore are well aware of this too. Tharman is seeking the Presidency under this geopolitical and racial context.

The Chinese in Singapore should be more conscious of the transitions and changes the world is going through, especially the Indo-American Indo-Pacific geopolitics, and how this is affecting their race and nation.

A vote for Tharman is a vote for more Indian political power in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.

There is no mention of race in this Presidential Election. But that's what this PE is mostly about. Tharman is in it for his Indian race. It's the the Indians who have pushed him hard for it. A Tharman Presidency will benefit the Indians the most. Indians in the population and Indian influence in Singapore will grow more rapidly.

With India now being the most populous nation on earth, millions upon millions of Indians are desperate to get out of Shithole India. A Singapore with an Indian President and an Indian Minister of Home Affairs will become an easy destination for them.

Chinese-Singaporean should not let Tharman and Indians fool them to forget about race. Despite being a racial minority, the Indians are rabid racist.. Look at just a couple of many Indian racist incidents.

Is not English proficiency a litmus test for Singapore-ness?
As far as I know, Indian, especially high caste Indians, have excellent English skills.

Tharman has won with an overwhelming majority.

But what a victory is that?

He contested against one unknown and one known for losing his deposit in the last contested PE.

In the last contested PE, the combined votes from two candidates on the opposition side was more than the votes of the PAP and Government affiliated candidate. The other candidate lost his deposit.

In this contested PE, due to rules of qualifications, out of the three on the opposition side from the previous PE, only the one that lost his deposit was qualified to contest. He gave a much improved performance this time, winning about 14% of the votes cast. If the other two were allowed to join in, the outcome of this PE would have been very different.

Those government scandals before the election were off the mind of voters. They were completely overwhelmed by the multi-billion dollars Chinese scam uncovered by the government just few days before the election. Whether the timing is intentional or not, the government earns much credits from this. It's a plus for Tharman.

He won as the best among the the worst.

It's all moot now. Tharmans is the Elected President. Let's be concerned about the implications

In Singapore :
Indians racial superiority over Chinese is reinforced. They are thinking - Opposition Leader is Indian, now that the President is also Indian, what's left is the PM. That would complete the Indian rule over Singapore, an Indo-Singapore.

When Tharman referred to respect for cultures he is of course referring to Indian culture. This means:
More stink.
More dark themes.

Beyond Indian culture, it will be:
More demands from the Indians on the government.
More racial disputes and fights with non-Indians.
Another wave of Indians migration from India and the Indian Diaspora.

Overseas:
Media in India is full of praise and pride for Tharman being a Person of Indian Origin. To them, it's one person of Indian Origin winning against two persons of Chinese Origin in Chinese-majority Singapore. How's that for Indian racial superiority?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBDURfZX3ek

First official congratulations to Tharman came from US and India. His victory is comforting to their Indo-American Indo-Pacific strategy. That's a strong Indian voice in the Indo-Pacific.

What about Tharman's future plan?
A second term of course.

There it goes again. A minor incident. A case of mistaken racial identity. But because that identity is Indian, the Indian-infested Straits Times and its Indian reporter is turning it into a big issue.

Expect more of this to come . After an Indian has soundly beaten off two Chinese in the last Presidential Election, Singaporean Indians' sense of racial superiority has heightened. This is going to last for at least 6 years, most probably 12, because Tharman will aim for two terms of his Presidency.

This small incident can't hide the big truth that Indians are the most racist people in the world. This is a fact revealed by a global survey but it will never be reported by the ST.

From previous cases involving dispute between a Chinese and an Indian, it can be concluded that his poor Chinese cab driver is going to get it hard.

There will be a police investigation, a workplace investigation and a trip to the Institute of Mental Health.

The police investigation will result in him being charged in court. The workplace investigation will result in him losing his job. The trip to the IMH will result in him being certified as mad - how dare he offends Indians when the President of Singapore is an Indian, the only explanation for his behavior is that he is mad.

Both would want the Indian-minority to play a more dominant role in Singapore politics. Politically conscious Indians in Singapore are well aware of this too. Tharman is seeking the Presidency under this geopolitical and racial context.

The worker explained that he had questioned whether the harasser was a Bangla because the latter had assumed that he was either a Malaysian or Chinese.

> The situation turned ugly when the policemen insisted on having the ID Card of the worker. Under such circumstance, it was not surprising that the Cheers worker felt he was being treated unfairly. To him, he had done no wrong, the other guy was the culprit, and therefore, the policemen demanding for his ID card made him felt that the policemen were going after him.
