"不可否認，美中之間仍存在重大歧見，習近平認為大國競爭不符時代潮流，美方堅持激烈戰略競爭仍將持續，必要管制、制裁措施仍將持續，但美國無意圍堵中共或與中國經濟脫鉤，布林肯強調，「去風險與多元化」完全不同於脫鉤，假如停止所有與中國的貿易與投資將是災難一場。

台灣問題仍是美中關係中最最敏感、最具挑戰性議題，也是雙方重大歧見所在，秦剛告訴布林肯，台灣問題是中國核心利益中的核心，是中美關係最重大的問題，也是最突出的風險，中方敦促美方恪守一中原則和中美三公報，將不支持台灣的承諾落到實處。王毅則更要求美方明確「反對台獨」。

在美方公布的談話摘要中，沒有說明布林肯如何回應，但布林肯本人在記者會中指出，美方關切中共在台灣海峽及南海、東海升高挑釁行動。對於台灣問題則重申美國長久以來的一中政策，這個政策沒有改變。美國持續反對任何一邊片面改變現狀，持續期望和平解決兩岸歧見，繼續承諾「台灣關係法」下的責任，包括台灣有能力防衛自己。

值得注意的是，中方對台灣問題的措辭，相較過去溫和許多，美方對台灣問題的主要訴求，則聚焦在台海對國際貿易交通的重要及台灣是半導體生產重鎮，並未挑戰中方的主權與領土主張。

美國即將進入總統大選季節，拜登政府將把握短暫的機會之窗，展現他的外交能力與成果，拜登個人深信，過去50年美中關係最成功面向之一，就是負責任管理台灣問題，在美中關係進入新階段，雙方對共管台灣看法更趨一致，手段更為成熟，台灣則走向邊緣化，這是不可忽視的安全隱憂。"

No problem with the reporting.
But the title "共管台灣共識趨近" is not quite right.
The PRC certainly does not mind the US declaration against Taiwan Independence. But it would not mean any kind of concensus in co-management. Taiwan is China's internal problem according to both the PRC and the ROC constitutions.

The PRC certainly will not entertain the idea that the US is holding the Taiwan issue as the sword of Democle ready to be used against the PRC as it sees fit.
