country in the world after the USA.

How would you all answer this question?

(This isn't really off-topic, as it concerns what is meant by
"democratic" as an English word.)

I don't think I like his prospects as a dog-catcher. But he's a good choice for
prime minister. I suspect that more than half his votes come from people who
can't bring themselves to vote either Conservative or NDP. They cringe a little
when they go the polling place and vote Liberal. Then they go home and sleep
well, in the knowledge that Justin will win again, and that he will not start any wars.

Then, the question means: Which country is #20? But that is not the

That's what I thought, but I'm glad to see an American say it. However,
it illustrates how out of touch many Americans are with the world
beyond their shores, or even beyond their northern border.

Anyway, the answer to the original question is Estonia, which ranks
27th, just after the USA at 26th. The person who answered it at Quora
said Cabo Verde at 26th, with the USA at 25th. However, [s]he was using
data for 2018. Since then Cabo Verde has dropped a lot and the USA a
bit. I shall be surprised if the USA stays as high as 26th, with all
the current voter-suppression efforts.

Why bother about elections? Democracy means will of the people, and when most people will their leader rules, why have elections.
Elections are for the shady rich scum, by fools, to place puppets in charge.

You mean the jati system. Jati is a meaning of caste in Indian English.
By the Indian Constitution, people of all jatis (which it calls castes) have the same
rights and privileges.

In other Englishes, the purpose of caste is to designate people as unequal in privilege.
If that is the best social system, strive to get 1 in 6 Australians treated as Dalits.
