Our defence minister, Richard Marles, says we need the nuclear sub to protect our trade routes in ABC "Insiders" program. He obviously haven't see this YouTube video created some 2 years ago !!!! This 2 year old joke seems to be coming true !!!! Even the $ figure mentioned in the video seems accurate enough !!!

China is a threat to the US, at least from the Pentagon's point of view. Without China, the generals
and admirals have a lot less reasons to raise the US defense budget. But then China is a regional
power, it is mostly peaceful with its neighbors during the last 200 years. It is currently the biggest
trading partner to most of them. And it does not have allies and military bases all over the world
like the US. Viola! The concept of Indo-Pacific and strategic interest over the Indo-Pacific were born.

The pen is mightier than the sword in creating conflict.

Is knowledge knowable? If not, how do we know that?
