I have an overt /d/ in /mo.dewl/ which probably doesn't help.
But it is an example of /ew/ surviving while my /ew/ after
dentals developed into /uw/. How did that happen?

I live close to Ewell in Surrey - pronounced the same way.

Ewell means spring (or "well") and dates from pre-Roman times.

How do you pronounce "schedule"? When your /ew/ after dentals
developed into /uw/ in unaccented syllables after the first (or whatever your
rule is), did the dentals affricate, and did the plosive /d/ in module happen
to survive *that* process?

Jerry's post made me aware of the topic "pronunciation of 'module'".
Wells gives:

|ˈmɒd juːl → ˈmɒʤ uːl ‖ ˈmɑːʤ uːᵊl

. From this, we want the American version, [ˈmɑːʤ uːᵊl], which
we can simplify to [ˈmɑːʤ uːl].

I don't know which part of [ˈmɑːʤ uːl] is difficult for the OP.
So I can only give a generic help:
[ˈmɑː] as in "marble".
[ɑːʤ] as in "lodge".
[uːl] as in "poole".

I, like PTD, say MOD-yool.

You could try "components", but that would be ignoring the importance of
modularity in software design, and maybe even give the impression that
you don't know what modularity means.

Audience participation. Ask the people you are speaking to how _they_
pronounce it, and get a discussion going.

Mod to rhyme with God, and Yul as in Yul Brynner.

That's the Australian pronunciation. The pronunciation differs a bit
from country to country.

What I said was she could get away with MOD-yool, if the usual
pronunciation was tricky. I say SKED-jewel, so I assume I would
say MOD-jewel if I had occasion to say it. ("Modular" is probably
more common.)

I, on the other hand, say /'mA,dZu l-/ "MA jewel" in careful speech,
but it probably collapses down to /'mA dZl-/ "MAjle" in normal usage.

Also, in some contexts it may not be correct to use another word: if
you're going to talk at all about Modula-2 or Ruby, to name two
examples with very different semantics, you're going to have to use
the word "module".

I rarely have a U sound in it, it is more often ma-djl with the a in
father and a subtle d

I say MA-jool, but many people say MA-dyool.

Take your pick, but as far as I'm concerned, either of those is easy
to say.

The problem with a word like that, when I say it to myself I hear
myself as saying "mod-dyool" one time and "ma-jool" the next time.

During my work as an instructor for programming languages,
I came to the conviction more and more that I should foster
dialogs and try to reduce monologs. Insofar yours is an
excellent answer!

But on the other hand, I also think that one should stick
to the topic. Extensive talks about pronunciations are
a distraction when the topic is programming. Insofar I'd
say to the OP: Use your best pronunciation and try to show
the word in writing at the same time and hope that people
will understand you. Your pronunciation just has to be
understandable, not native-like in every detail.
