A recent Jeopardy answer was "cocking gun" - well, actually "caulking
gun", but I hadn't noticed before that these two are subject to the
cot-caught merger, thus creating a false association in my head.

Must've been one of the days I chose a movie instead. For me, it
was a long-ago episode of "Whadya Know" on the road in Seattle,
and one of the contestants said she was at the Hock Winery. Like
me, Michael Feinstein (Milwaukee native) was taken aback, because
why would you name a winery for an apparently déclassé product
(which I knew only from "Liaisons" from *A Little Night Music*)?
Turned out the winery was named for the noble bird.
