-oid, -oidal, -oidism, -odic - (Greek: like, resembling, similar to, form).

In English, these often mean "having the form of" rather than "similar to":

acanthoid, colloidal (adjective), spheroid (noun).

The -oid- ones do -- related to Gk eidos 'form'.

-odic does not have this meaning, in fact is not really a thing -- just
the common adjective-forming suffix -ic after various noun stems ending
in -od

They are common in math terms

Rhomboid
Cuboid: A three-dimensional shape with six rectangular faces, like a rectangular box.
Spheroid: A solid resembling a sphere but slightly elongated in one direction, like an oval-shaped ball.
