This is quite a story, and I think--though you may disagree--not as preposterous some stories in The Sun seem at first glance.

(And though I HAVE read the kid-lit novel--or at least had it read TO me by my kindergarten teacher Miss Berry in late 1960---and also have screened most of the first cloying cinematic iteration of Hugh Lofting's most famous work [the one with Rex Harrison rather than the remake with the always-over-the-top Eddie Murphy], the answer is NO, I am NOT a "Dr. Dolittle*" fan.)
