Visited Hsinchu several times ago. A industrial park and science park. Here certain sectors like electronic and semiconductors worked shifts and others on normal hours. Mainly family-owned SME firms and enterprises are there, too. An economic hub indeed.

The other economic hub is in the south - Kaohsiung, is on light and heavy industrial bases. The operating cost in Hsinchu is high; high labor cost and high labor turnover Travelling distance between Taipei
