Another poster recently let us know about their nice gateway and also FMS (nntp) access.

I don't want to step on their thread but want to say Thanks! for putting that together and sharing it with us.

Since I've done this in the past using Apache rewrites, I decided to try to accomplish it in PHP. It's about as good as the Apache method, and using it sucks just about as bad :)

Many links will not work, especially if the site generates links using client side scripting.

I put this online if anyone wants to browse Freenet freesites just to get a general idea.

I would be surprised if any downloads work. If you are familiar with
Freenet, it offers to download to disk, save to a protected (encrypted)
area, or other options. You never get to see those options here as you
have no access to the Freenet router to see them.

This is really just to give a small view of what Freenet freesites look
like, what kind of stuff is on Freenet in general. If the end user is
lucky, some pages might even display content :)
